Gemini 4 Argon for a small business: what’s new and what it costs
Gemini 4 Argon as of 14 October 2026: which plans include it in Poland, what it costs in the app and the API, and how to test the model on your own tasks.
Google announced Gemini 4 Argon on 30 September 2026 and made it widely available on 13 October 2026. For a small business owner, three questions matter: what this changes in daily work, whether it will work here in Poland and how much you will pay.
I’m writing this as of 14 October 2026. I rely on information from Google, and where it is only the manufacturer’s claims, I say so clearly. The data on plans and prices may change, so check it on Google’s pages before you buy.
What Gemini 4 Argon is
For now, Gemini 4 is one model: Argon. Google announced it on 30 September 2026, initially for cybersecurity experts, and it has been widely available since 13 October 2026. Google has not announced Gemini 4 Pro, Flash, Ultra or Deep Think models. It says more are coming, but without dates.
In practice: when someone writes about “Gemini 4” and quotes a price list for a Flash or Pro version, that isn’t confirmed information. As of today there is only Argon.
What’s new according to Google
Google lists several changes. These are the manufacturer’s claims, and the test results are also provided by the manufacturer:
- more direct answers, without unnecessary platitudes,
- better adherence to a given style, for example the tone of company emails,
- longer tasks carried out in many steps,
- analysis of documents, charts and long recordings.
An important limitation: Argon returns text only. So it won’t generate graphics or a recording for you, although it can describe and analyze what you show it.
For a small business, two uses are the most practical: summarizing long documents (offers, contracts, reports) and writing texts in a set style. I don’t know, however, how it will perform on your tasks, which is why I describe below how to check that.
Where it works in Poland: the Gemini app
The Gemini app works in Poland and in Polish. Argon is available in it only in paid plans:
| Plan | Monthly price | Argon |
|---|---|---|
| Free version | PLN 0 | not included |
| Google AI Plus | PLN 23.99 | not included |
| Google AI Pro | PLN 97.99 | included |
| Google AI Ultra | from PLN 469.99 | included |
Google is rolling the model out gradually, so you may not see it right away even with a plan you’ve paid for. If you pay for AI Pro and don’t see Argon in the model list, wait a few days.
Google Workspace: not everything is as it seems
If your company uses Google Workspace, be careful about assuming that Argon is “included in the price”. The Business Starter (PLN 31.50), Standard (PLN 63) and Plus (PLN 99) plans are net prices per user per month on an annual commitment. Without a commitment you will pay PLN 37.80, PLN 75.60 and PLN 118.80.
Google states that:
- Argon is not included in the price of a Workspace plan.
- In the Gemini app it requires the AI Expanded Access add-on, available from the Business Standard plan. The price of the add-on is not publicly stated.
- Argon in Gmail and Docs has not been announced.
Conclusion: don’t plan on Argon writing your emails in Gmail starting tomorrow. First ask a Google salesperson or partner for the price of the add-on for your number of users.
What it costs through the API
Through the API you use the gemini-4-argon model, and access is paid only. Prices per 1 million tokens (a token is a piece of a word, roughly a few characters of text):
| Period | Input | Output |
|---|---|---|
| until 30 November 2026 | $2 | $10 |
| from 1 December 2026 | $4 | $20 |
The price doubles from 1 December 2026. If you are planning automation, assume the higher price list already. Input is the text you send to the model (a question, a document), and output is its answer. Answers are more expensive, so short, specific answers lower the bill.
For the record: I don’t give conversions to zloty here, because the exchange rate changes and the charges depend on the number of conversations and the length of documents. I will calculate the exact cost for a specific implementation.
What isn’t available in Poland
Google’s announcements often concern features from the US. Restrictions apply to Poland and the EU:
- the Tasks feature does not work in Poland and the EU,
- some connected apps, especially third-party services, work only in the US or only in English.
If you are buying a plan for a specific feature, first check in Google’s help whether it is available for Polish accounts. Simply ask about that feature in the trial version of the app before you pay for a year upfront.
Privacy: what you may paste
The difference between accounts is big here:
- In Workspace, content is not used to train models outside your company.
- On a personal account with “Keep Activity” turned on, chats may be used to train models and reach reviewers, meaning people who read samples of conversations.
So on a personal account, don’t paste customers’ personal data, contracts with names or price lists with margins. You can also turn off activity saving in your account settings. For a company that works with customer data, a business account is the more sensible choice. When customers’ personal data goes into AI systems, it is also worth considering separate data storage in the EU.
How to test Argon in 30 minutes
Don’t trust benchmark tables, trust your own tasks. Do it like this:
- Pick 5–10 tasks you actually do: a reply to a quote request, a service description, a summary of a contract, a conclusion from a report.
- Give each task to two models: Argon and the one you use today.
- Rate the results on a scale of 1–5: correctness, tone and how many corrections you have to make.
- Check every number and promise in the answer. A model can be confidently wrong.
- Count how many minutes a day you save and compare that with the extra payment for the plan.
If the difference is small, stay with your current plan. It is also worth remembering that a chatbot on your website for customers is a completely different task than your own writing assistant: here the costs of conversations and security matter. I wrote about this in the article is an AI chatbot worth it.
When Argon makes sense in a business
I see the most benefit where repetitive work with text takes hours:
- replies to inquiries following a fixed template and tone,
- analysis of offers, contracts and reports and pulling out the key points,
- summaries of long recordings, for example customer calls,
- automatic reports from company data.
Where you need graphics or video, Argon alone isn’t enough, because it returns only text.
If you are deploying AI for conversations with customers on your website, remember the duty to inform people that they are talking to an AI. Since 2 August 2026, Article 50 of the AI Act requires this. The obligation lies with the chatbot provider, and if you run a bot under your own name, that may be your company. I write more in the article AI chatbot on a website and the AI Act.
Summary
Gemini 4 Argon is, as of today, the only model in this family: in Poland it works in the Google AI Pro and AI Ultra plans, in Workspace it requires an add-on, and through the API it costs $2/$10 per million tokens until the end of November and $4/$20 from December. Don’t buy a plan based on announcements, check the model on your own tasks.
If you want to deploy AI so that it actually saves time, write to me. I will help you choose a model, calculate the cost and implement AI in your business or automate repetitive processes. I reply within 24 hours, and new clients get 20% off their first order.
Frequently asked questions
No. In the app, Argon is available in the Google AI Pro and AI Ultra plans, and it is not in the free version or in AI Plus. Through the API you can use it only for a fee.
As of today, Google has not announced Argon in Gmail or Docs. In Workspace the model appears in the Gemini app and requires the AI Expanded Access add-on, so don’t assume it will change how email or the editor works.
Not everything. The Gemini app works in Poland and in Polish, but the Tasks feature does not work in Poland and the EU, and some connected apps, especially third-party services, work only in the US or only in English. Before buying a plan, check whether the feature you need is available here.
It depends on the account. In Workspace, content is not used to train models outside your company. On a personal account with “Keep Activity” turned on, chats may be used for training and reach human reviewers, so don’t paste customer data there.
There is no need. Start with 5–10 of your own recurring tasks, compare the results with an older model and only then decide whether the extra payment makes sense. The test results in the announcements are provided by Google itself, so your own tasks are the best test.
